Description

A creamy and cheesy baked dish featuring jumbo lump crab meat.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour and stir for 1 minute to form a light roux.
  3. Slowly whisk in heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Add cream cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  5. Mix in cheddar, parmesan, Worcestershire, Creole seasoning, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cook on low, stirring until cheese is fully melted.
  7. Fold in the jumbo lump crab meat gently to keep chunks intact.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F and butter a baking dish.
  9. Transfer mixture to the dish and top with extra cheddar and parmesan.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more Creole seasoning.
  • Serve with crusty bread or crackers for dipping.
