Description

A delicious treat combining the flavors of churros and cheesecake!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough (or puff pastry sheets)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of white granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
    • Add vanilla extract and mix well.
    • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition until fully incorporated. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Roll out the crescent roll dough or puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle. Cut into even squares or rectangles to form the base and top layers.
  3. Assemble the Bites:
    • Place half of the cut dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Spread or pipe the cheesecake filling onto each piece of dough.
    • Cover with another piece of dough and press the edges gently to seal.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
    • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
    • Once the cheesecake bites are out of the oven, brush them with melted butter.
    • Generously coat each bite with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Allow to cool slightly before serving.
    • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the cheesecake mixture.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a hint of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Serve with a drizzle of caramel for an extra indulgent touch.
