- 2 lbs Chicken
- 3/4 cup Jasmine Rice
- 3/4 cup Sweet Rice (Glutinous Rice)
- 2 Maggi Magic Chicken Cube
- 34 ounces Water
- 8 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 3 Onions, chopped
- 3 thumbs Ginger, julienne
- 8 Hard-boiled Eggs
- 1 cup Green Onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Safflower
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- to taste Fish Sauce
- to taste Ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a wok. Add the chopped garlic and slow-fry until it turns golden brown, then remove it and set aside.
- In the remaining oil, toss in the chopped onions and sauté until softened. Add the julienned ginger and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces to the wok, sautéing until lightly browned. Season with fish sauce.
- Stir in the jasmine and sweet rice, mixing well for about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Add the Maggi Magic Chicken cubes, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 35 minutes.
- Add the safflower and turmeric for color, adjusting flavor with additional fish sauce and ground black pepper as needed.
- Gently fold in the hard-boiled eggs and crispy fried garlic, then sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top before serving.
