Description

Delicious and easy-to-make butter cookies that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • 1 large egg (at room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C), or 160°C for a fan oven. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and salt until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the flour and mix until smooth.
  5. Use a piping bag with a star tip or round tip to pipe desired shapes onto the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until they have puffed up and are no longer wet-looking on top.
