Description

A delightful twist on traditional tiramisu using masala chai tea and mascarpone cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Masala Chai Tea (Use homemade or store-bought.)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (Adds luxurious richness.)
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar (For sweetness.)
  • 2 tablespoons Chai Spice Mix (Enhances flavor profile.)
  • 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese (Essential for creaminess.)
  • 24 pieces Cake Rusks or Ladyfingers (Soak well in chai.)
  • 1/4 cup Pistachios (Chopped, optional but recommended.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Masala Chai Tea: Brew a delicious batch of masala chai tea to infuse your cake with that warm, comforting flavor. Let it cool to room temperature while you gather your other ingredients.
  2. Make the Spiced Whipped Cream: In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and chai spice mix until soft peaks form.
  3. Combine with Mascarpone: Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth and firm.
  4. Dip Cake Rusks: Take each cake rusk and quickly soak it in the cooled masala chai.
  5. Layer and Assemble: Arrange the soaked rusks in a serving dish. Pour a little extra chai tea over them and spread half of your mascarpone mixture on top.
  6. Repeat Layers: Add another layer of dipped rusks, followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.
  7. Finish and Chill: Sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top for that delightful crunch. Cover your cake and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.

Notes

  • This dessert is best served chilled and can be made a day in advance for enhanced flavor.
  • You can substitute the cake rusks with ladyfingers if preferred.
