Description
A delightful twist on traditional tiramisu using masala chai tea and mascarpone cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Masala Chai Tea (Use homemade or store-bought.)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream (Adds luxurious richness.)
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar (For sweetness.)
- 2 tablespoons Chai Spice Mix (Enhances flavor profile.)
- 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese (Essential for creaminess.)
- 24 pieces Cake Rusks or Ladyfingers (Soak well in chai.)
- 1/4 cup Pistachios (Chopped, optional but recommended.)
Instructions
- Prepare Masala Chai Tea: Brew a delicious batch of masala chai tea to infuse your cake with that warm, comforting flavor. Let it cool to room temperature while you gather your other ingredients.
- Make the Spiced Whipped Cream: In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and chai spice mix until soft peaks form.
- Combine with Mascarpone: Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth and firm.
- Dip Cake Rusks: Take each cake rusk and quickly soak it in the cooled masala chai.
- Layer and Assemble: Arrange the soaked rusks in a serving dish. Pour a little extra chai tea over them and spread half of your mascarpone mixture on top.
- Repeat Layers: Add another layer of dipped rusks, followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.
- Finish and Chill: Sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top for that delightful crunch. Cover your cake and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
Notes
- This dessert is best served chilled and can be made a day in advance for enhanced flavor.
- You can substitute the cake rusks with ladyfingers if preferred.
