Description

Enjoy a delicious and healthy twist on a classic cheeseburger with this Low Carb Cheeseburger Lettuce Bowl.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 leaves romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 jalapeños, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free ketchup

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Season the cooked beef with salt, pepper, and your favorite burger spices. If you want to add a smoky flavor, consider mixing in some smoked paprika or garlic powder.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the cooked beef. Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet for a few minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
  4. While the cheese is melting, prepare your lettuce leaves. Wash and dry them thoroughly. Use a large leaf as a base for each serving.
  5. Spoon the cheesy beef mixture onto each lettuce leaf. Top with diced tomatoes, onions, pickles, and any other toppings you love.
  6. Finish off by drizzling your choice of mustard, mayonnaise, and any other condiments you desire.
  7. Enjoy your Low Carb Cheeseburger Lettuce Bowl immediately for the best flavor and texture!
