Description

A rich and delicious turkey gravy made from drippings, perfect for your holiday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups turkey drippings (or chicken broth)
  • 1/2 cup water (cold)
  • 1 pinch salt (to taste)
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (to thicken if desired)

Instructions

  1. If you want to add small bits of meat they need to be precooked. If not, add a bit of olive oil into your pot and set to saute to brown first. Then continue on to further instructions.
  2. Cook pan juices on saute mode in your Instant Pot for 2-3 minutes. Bring to a boil (can do the same on your stovetop on medium heat).
  3. Mix cornstarch and cold water together in a small bowl until smooth, then whisk into your pan juices.
  4. Whisk together until gravy is smooth, add salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • This gravy is perfect for mashed potatoes, turkey, or even as a base for other sauces.
