Description
A delicious stir-fried dish combining beef, rice noodles, and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 300g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 200g wide rice noodles
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Noodles: Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the beef slices with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, the cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of water. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Stir-fry the Vegetables: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until aromatic. Add the broccoli and red bell pepper, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- Stir-fry the Beef: In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the beef is just cooked through.
- Combine All Ingredients: Add the cooked noodles, vegetables, and sauce mixture to the wok with the beef. Toss everything together for about 2 minutes until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
- Serve: Transfer the stir-fried noodles to a serving dish. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
Notes
- Noodle Texture: Ensure the noodles are cooked al dente to avoid them becoming too soft during stir-frying.
- Beef Tenderness: Use high-quality beef and slice it thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.
- Adjusting Heat: Feel free to add a splash of chili oil or crushed red pepper for a spicy kick.
- Vegetable Variations: Add other vegetables such as carrots or snow peas for added color and texture.
