A delicious treat made with saltine crackers, caramel, chocolate, and a sprinkle of sea salt.

- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- to taste Sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Stir frequently until the mixture starts to boil and become bubbly, about 3-5 minutes.
- Once bubbling, continue boiling for one minute without stirring.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully pour the caramel mixture over the lined crackers, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until the edges look bubbly and the crackers are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the hot caramel. Allow them to soften for a few minutes, then spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.
- Lightly sprinkle sea salt over the melted chocolate.
- Let the entire mixture cool until set, about 30 minutes in the refrigerator, then break into pieces.
