Instructions
- Prepare the Wafer Dough:

- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, followed by milk. Mix until you form a smooth dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Bake the Wafers:
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Use a round cookie cutter to cut out the wafers.
- Place the wafers on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
- Prepare the Vanilla Cream Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and heavy cream; beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Assemble the Sandwich Wafers:
- Spread a generous amount of vanilla cream filling on the flat side of one wafer.
- Place another wafer on top to form a sandwich.
- Repeat with remaining wafers and filling.
- Finishing Touches: Optionally, dust the sandwich wafers with powdered sugar before serving.
