- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ¾ cup melted butter
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup blackberry preserves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and ¼ cup of granulated sugar. Stir until well mixed.
- Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan, spreading it out to form an even layer.
- Bake for 10 minutes until golden, then let it cool.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the remaining granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until combined and light.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel layer.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the blackberry preserves until they are a bit runny.
- Pour the warm preserves over the cream cheese layer, then scatter fresh blackberries on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
Notes
- This dessert is best served chilled.
- Feel free to substitute the blackberries with other berries as desired.
