Description

A delicious and fluffy pancake recipe featuring chocolate and cherry flavors, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pitted cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Extra chocolate chips for garnish
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter:
    – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    – In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix well.
    – Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
    – Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped cherries gently.
  2. Cook the Pancakes:
    – Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it.
    – Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
    – Cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
    – Repeat with the remaining batter.
  3. Assemble the Pancake Stack:
    – Stack the cooked pancakes on a plate.
    – Pour cherry pie filling and chocolate syrup over the pancake stack.
  4. Garnish:
    – Top with whipped cream, extra chocolate chips, fresh cherries, and a drizzle of more chocolate syrup if desired.

Notes

  • For fluffier pancakes, let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute fresh cherries with canned cherries if fresh ones are not available.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or using a sweeter chocolate syrup.
  • Add a touch of vanilla extract to the batter for extra flavor.
