Description
Delicious and healthy waffles made with rolled oats, banana, and protein powder, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 medium ripe banana
- 1 scoop (30g) vanilla protein powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: toppings like Greek yogurt, berries, nut butter
Instructions
- Blend it all together in a high-speed blender, combine the rolled oats, banana, protein powder, egg, almond milk, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth. The batter will be slightly thick but pourable.
- Preheat your waffle iron and grease your waffle maker with a non-stick spray or a brush of oil. Heat it up to medium-high—every waffle iron is different, so adjust based on yours.
- Cook the waffles by pouring the batter into the center of the waffle iron (usually about 1/3 cup per waffle depending on size). Close the lid and cook for about 3–5 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.
- Serve and enjoy carefully, with your favorite toppings—fresh berries, Greek yogurt, or a drizzle of nut butter are all great options.
Notes
- These waffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
- Reheat in the toaster for a quick breakfast option.
