  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 8 taco shells (soft or crunchy)
  • Fresh toppings: lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into strips and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Set up a breading station with one bowl for the flour mixture, one for beaten eggs, and a third for coated chicken.
  4. Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, dip in the egg wash, then return to the flour for double coating.
