Description

A delicious dessert combining crispy tortilla chips with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 810 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortillas: Cut the flour tortillas into triangle shapes, similar to nachos.
  2. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar: Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Fry the Tortillas: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the tortilla triangles in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fried tortillas and drain on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are warm.
  4. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries. Set aside.
  5. Assemble the Dessert Nachos: Arrange the cinnamon sugar-coated tortilla chips on a serving platter. Top with dollops of whipped cream. Add sliced strawberries on top. Dust with powdered sugar for garnish.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, drizzle melted chocolate or caramel sauce on top before serving.
  • You can substitute whipped cream with Greek yogurt for a tangy twist.
  • For a more intense flavor, let the strawberries sit in a mixture of sugar and lemon juice for 10 minutes before topping the nachos.
