Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
- Incorporate Butter: Add cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add Milk: Pour in the milk and stir with a fork until just combined. The dough should be slightly sticky.
- Prepare Filling: In a separate small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with brown sugar.
- Roll Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the dough.
- Fold and Cut: Fold the dough over itself and gently roll again to 1-inch thickness. Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
- Bake: Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Prepare Glaze: While baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze Biscuits: Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits.
