Description
Delicious chocolate cupcakes topped with creamy peanut butter frosting and decorated with mini peanut butter cups and chocolate sprinkles.

- 1 box (15 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Mini peanut butter cups, chopped
- Chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
- Fill liners 2/3 full. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1 tbsp milk. Beat until fluffy. Add more milk if needed for consistency.
- Transfer frosting to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pipe swirls of frosting onto each cooled cupcake.
- Top with chopped peanut butter cups and chocolate sprinkles.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Make sure to let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
